9th December Advent Window from Tunbridge Wells

This is included because although Oxfam is really a chain, this shop is made up of stock donated by the people of Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas . So really it is a community based bookshop that reflects the tastes of the town's current and past residents. Quite an interesting comment if you think about it.
I just love the decorations. The conical pages are discarded books and look closely the chains are made from music sheets. So if in doubt send your old books to Tunbridge Wells Oxfam book shop in Chapel place, dig out those unused music books bought for children who no longer play their musical instruments and donate. In fact, Oxfam, why not hold a craft event next year? We could pay to come and play and make our own decorations with your guidance and stock that is going to be discarded.

I popped in here and bought myself a little present for Christmas, a tiny book, leather bound, of a lecture given by John Ruskin. The book had been exchanged as a gift in 1926. It is a symbol to me of my walks around the town at night recording creative windows.
