My Garden Room

I am so excited, I have just won a competition. Not a prize for my writing, but a prize for a photograph of my garden room where I write.

Tomorrow The Wealden Times are dropping by to deliver my prize from Belle Maison and I have just the place for it, right here in my garden. I shall be using it as a prompt table, a creative nature table, an evolving tray of delights. The surface of which will be perfect as a background for my photographs to be made into cards. I can't wait.

As with all things creative , intentions and results are not always the same.

From this entry, other creatives in Tunbridge Wells Writers Circle saw this photograph and expressed an interest and so a writing day event happened.

                                                                   We had fun.

                                                            Around the garden

The cat came too.

Writing stories in the vegetable patch.

At a table for one

Blankets for a cold summer's day

Each box contained writing prompts.

                                                       Apples trees bearing unusual fruit.

Washing lines pegged full of playful prompts.

                                                                    A quiet corner.

                                                                Happy Writers

With  peacock feathers and a gin bottle.

Fortnum and Mason biscuits by the pond.
                                        What could be more British?

                                                                  Pandora's Box?

                                                                    Busy Bees

                                                                    Bedtime stories

Reading, listening, critiquing with tea and cake.

All because I entered a competition with The Wealden Times.
