Angels
We have quite a few.
This one is a personal favourite and has appeared on this blog from a different perspective.
Her personal history is interesting, but I will save that for another time.
The first advent calender appeared in 1903 and was German in origin and angels were a popular feature.
But as we know, Angels were a feature in Victorian graveyards long before that.
So this month I will be sharing some of our spectacular angelic statues.
